In the 20-page book conceived and designed by Peter Downsbrough, a Place - Wien, the artist continues a series he began as early as 1977 with his a Place - London, a Place - New York and so forth. Each issue incorporates, in addition to the phrases "a place" and "here", two parallel black lines, the so-called "two lines". Also, each issue contains a b/w picture taken by the artist in the city mentioned in the title. The layout of the current issue is identical to the previous ones, and, in line with the author?s stringent design requirements, features a recent photograph of Vienna.
