Surrounding Jef Geys : a day of conversations, an installation & an exhibition

Trained as an advertiser and graphic artist at the Antwerp Academy, Geys had the skills for lettering and drawing, and knew very well how to implement publishing in his body of work. The invitations for his exhibitions, the printed proposals and statements, the artists' pages and artists' books, and his iconic Kempens Informatieblad all bear witness of this. For this exhibition, 85 (and some more) items from the Collection for Research on Artists' Publications (CRAP) were assembled by Johan Pas to illustrate Geys' rich world of ideas and his strategies for archiving and activating them.
