The Chomsky Generative Grammar Public Poem, Brussels, 1972

'The Chomsky Generative Grammar Public Poem, Brussels, 1972' bestaat uit drie panelen; het gaat om digitale afdrukken, die elk drie foto’s tonen van de actie 'The Chomsky Generative Grammar Public Poem' uit 1972, waarbij levensgrote letters en leestekens in het straatbeeld van Brussel werden aangebracht. Onderaan staat over de drie panelen gespreid de handgeschreven tekst: '"Chomsky Generative Grammar" Public Poem, Brussels 1972: based on Chomsky's method showing the "deep grammar" of the street, I used these human-sized grammatical symbols to point out a political structure of the commercial street (reversing the consumerist illusion - in the "deep reading") I labelled the "mass of people" as direct object instead of subject of the verb of commercial activity - and the abstract subject as money, banks etc. - qualified by the ad-verb "police". Much to my amusement, I realized that the Brussels bourgeoisie refused to notice the event as if it were indecent! The police put a stop to my poem (as usual) - the overall atmosphere I called "the soft repression". Gesigneerd op het derde paneel rechtsonder.

Van dit werk bestaat behalve een Engelse versie ook een Franse. De versie met Frans onderschrift maakt deel uit van de collectie van de Fondazione Bonotto in het Italiaanse Colceresa. Bij de Franse versie is elke foto apart afgedrukt.
